Hawaii Is Closer Than You Think
Our Story
From Peaks To Waves

Veteran-Owned. Values-Driven.
As a veteran-owned business, service isn’t just part of our past — it’s the foundation of everything we do. We’re proud to support causes that matter, including Bad Ass Coffee’s Cup O’ Joe program honoring fellow veterans. Coffee can’t change the world — but it can be a great place to start.

Coffee With Culture And Intention
Hawaiian coffee is unlike anything else. Grown on volcanic slopes and harvested with care, it tells a story of resilience, heritage, and craftsmanship. Every sip invites you to slow down and savor something meaningful — not just caffeine, but connection.

From Peaks to Waves — With Aloha
Our journey from the Colorado Rockies to the Hawaiian islands isn’t just a name — it’s a way of life. Peaks to Waves is more than a café. It’s a community built on aloha, adventure, and authenticity. We’re here to serve joy in a cup and invite you into something bigger.

Aloha Is A Feeling Worth Sharing
The moment you step off a plane in Hawaiʻi, something shifts. There’s a warmth in the air, a welcome in the breeze, and a sense of deep peace that settles over you. At Peaks to Waves, we believe that feeling — the aloha spirit — is too good not to share. That’s why we bring it to life through every handcrafted cup of Bad Ass Coffee.

Where Hawaiian Roots Meet Colorado Soul
Our story begins in the mountains of Colorado, but it’s deeply rooted in the islands. Just like Hawaiʻi, Colorado has a way of connecting people to the land, to nature, and to each other. Whether you're standing on a surfboard or a summit, you know the feeling — awe, presence, and joy. Peaks to Waves was born to celebrate that connection.

Sustainably Sourced. Purposefully Served.
We believe in coffee that cares. Bad Ass Coffee’s commitment to sustainability and small farms resonated deeply with us. Inspired by the Hawaiian value of malama ʻāina — to care for and honor the land — we aim to do business in a way that’s better for the planet, the growers, and our local community.

Community is Our Compass
In Hawaiʻi, there’s a beautiful concept called kamaʻāina — being of the land, being part of the community. It’s a way of living with heart and humility, showing up for people, and fostering real belonging. That’s the kind of place we’re building here. Whether you’re a student, a neighbor, a traveler, or just passing through — you’ve got a seat at our table.

Meet The Team

Beth Deasy
Owner
Beth Deasy is a lifelong entrepreneur, veteran, and values-driven leader passionate about building community through purpose-driven brands. As the founder of Peaks to Waves, the operating company bringing Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii to Boulder and beyond, Beth is infusing every café with a unique blend of Hawaiian aloha and Colorado soul.
Beth’s journey spans the courtroom, the classroom, and now the coffeehouse. After serving as a U.S. Army officer, she built a successful legal career specializing in corporate real estate and employment law. But her passion for people and community led her to education, where she developed and operated three award-winning preschools under the Primrose Schools banner. For over 20 years, Beth’s leadership has centered on nurturing people, from young children to professional teams, through meaningful, mission-driven work.
With Peaks to Waves, Beth saw the opportunity to do something different and deeply personal. Inspired by the spirit of aloha and the cultural richness of Hawaiian coffee, she was drawn to Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and community. As a veteran, she also resonated with the company’s “Cup O’ Joe” initiative supporting military service members.
Beth believes in creating welcoming spaces that do more than serve coffee, they serve people. At Peaks to Waves, that means honoring the Hawaiian value of malama ʻāina (care for the land), living out the kamaʻāina spirit of belonging, and celebrating connection in every cup.
Whether she’s opening a new store or supporting her team, Beth’s leadership is grounded in authenticity, adventure, and a drive to do good. Her mission is simple: serve joy with purpose from the Colorado peaks to Hawaiian waves.
